RELEASE HISTORY — DISKVERDICT
Every public release, in reverse order. Updates arrive in-app via Sparkle — all v1.x updates are free.
01 v1.0.0 — 16 June 2026 · Initial release
Measurement
- A real read/write benchmark on any mounted volume — internal SSD, external drive, or network share — with the OS cache bypassed, so the drive is measured, not RAM.
- Four metric families: sequential throughput, random IOPS at 4K, per-operation latency (average and p99), and mixed real-world read+write workloads.
- Sustained-write behaviour surfaced — the SLC-cache cliff many drives hide is measured and shown, not averaged away.
Verdicts
- Eight graded workflow verdicts out of one run — code/dev, photo, video (HD→8K), audio editing, audio recording, VM/containers, databases, and file/media server.
- Every grade shows the single statistic that decided the call, so the verdict is auditable rather than a black box.
Worth knowing
- No admin rights, no Full Disk Access, no kernel extension — volume enumeration is permission-free.
- In-app Sparkle updates have been live since this first release.
Updates are cumulative. Earlier versions are not distributed.
